YMIR - a neutron-free instrument testbed - has been built at ESS, using funding received via the SREss project.
YMIR is a Neutron Free instrument located in the ESS on-site workshop building. It was created to facilitate instrument controls development and testing, and to promote instrument related IRL collaboration at ESS.
Today YMIR provide exploration of the ESS instrument controls structure as well as performing experiments such as light tomography.
